Hand Soap recipe
DIY Foaming hand soap was one of the first DIY products I began my chemical free journey with.
Once I discovered that most hand wash's contained the ingredient Triclosan it became my number 1 priority to convert to DIY to continue reducing my chemical exposure.
Not only is this recipe extremely simple and as low toxic as it get it is SUPER CHEAP!!!
If you change to one DIY product this should be it!!!!!!
You will need:-
200ml foaming soap bottle - you can recycle a mainstream foaming soap container or you can purchase them brand new. With kids in my house I use and recommend cuispro foaming soap containers, yes they are plastic but they are amazing! They are stylish & come with a 20 year warranty I have had mine for 7 years and have them at every sink in my house.
150ml - distilled water
Add fractionated coconut oil and essential oils to container and mix thoroughly
Once combined add castile soap and gently mix
Gently & slowly top up container with water to avoid sudsing, be sure to leave enough space for your foaming mechanism
Stir gently to combine
I hope this helps you all on your chemical free DIY journey's.
